We’re proud to put Carson, Iowa on the map as the first bourbon distillery in Pottawattamie County—proof that great whisky (and great stories) can come from unexpected places.

ABOUT US:
Judge Richard Distillery, named after our family patriarch, is the result of generations of perseverance, family roots and a passion for a damn good pour. We honor Nathaniel Richardson—better known as Judge Richard—a Virginia born settler who spent three decades in Kentucky before making his way west and ultimately becoming a respected judge in Missouri. The Judge's pioneering spirit didn’t stop there. It flowed forward through six generations of Richardsons, and straight into every bottle we make today.
